About Us
Plus One Fostering Ltd was the creation of Pauline Higgins, the business was established in 2003 to meet the need to recruit carers/parents from diverse cultural backgrounds. We recruit foster carers with a range of skills to satisfy the varying circumstances and needs of children with challenging behaviour, mild disabilities and complex emotional issues.
Our aim is to provide quality foster care giving looked after children/ young people the same opportunity as every other child. Inclusive we aim to provide a variety of placements to meet the diverse needs of the individual child.
In order to achieve this, we are dedicated in achieving positive outcomes for children and young people, to support this we focus on the five outcomes identified as essential for all children to achieve success:
We have a strong infrastructure containing a dedicated proactive team of professionals, committed to working 24 hours to ensure that we are well prepared and equipped to deliver the best possible professional service at all times.
We work in close partnership with Local Authorities, Health Trusts, foster carers and children/young people, which enables Plus One to provide support, one-to-one attention, expertise and guidance to all involved.
